The Sagra dell’Uva in Marino: wine, history and a true local celebration
The Grape Festival in Marino was first held in 1925, thanks to an idea by Leone Ciprelli to boost the local economy by celebrating the area's roots. October, the grape harvest season, became the perfect time to honour wine – a key resource for the town.
One of the most iconic moments? When wine flows from a public fountain, inspired by Renaissance feasts of the Colonna family. A true community celebration, open to everyone and great for families too
• Held every year on the first Sunday of October
• Keep an eye on children during peak hours, especially near the fountain
• Entry is free. Food and drinks are paid directly at the stalls.
